ABOUT
My passion for jellyfish started when I was around 12 during summer time trips to the aquarium. The Jellyfish exhibits were last, but I found myself moving quickly past the other exhibits to reach the jellies. I was absolutely enamored by their ethereal beauty and curious about how they existed.
I have spent the last 15 years of my life studying these creatures in every aspect possible. Reading any and every published paper I could find, keeping and raising them in my home lab and traveling great distances to see rare and fleeting species in the wild. One thing I quickly discovered is that jellyfish research is greatly lacking. Of the thousands of species known, so many have never even been photographed. Their colorful, strange and fascinating life cycles remain a mystery. And so I made it my goal to document, photograph and bring to light as many different species of jellyfish as possible. In doing this, I hope to share my passion with the world and inspire a sense of conservation for our oceans and marine ecosystems.
